The Oberlin Student Cooperative Association (OSCA) is hiring a Financial Assistant, based in Oberlin, OH. The Financial Assistant’s (FA) primary responsibility will be to perform specific duties as directed by the Financial Manager (FM). These duties will include general bookkeeping, Quickbooks processing, and Accounts Receivables and Payables. This position is 24 hours per week, $28 per hour.

We are officially accepting host proposals for NASCO's Cooperative Internship Network, summer 2017!
 
NASCO's Cooperative Internship Network is designed to provide a direct service by finding skilled students and young cooperators to help fill organizational needs. By hosting interns, organizations can gain assistance with specific projects of importance to their operations while building the future of the cooperative and community development movements.
 
Whatever the size or type of your organization, we encourage you to take part in this opportunity to expand your support team. Eligible host sites may be co-ops, organizations that support co-ops, or New/Solidarity Economy organizations.
 
Applications from host organizations are due by Sunday, February 26th.

Voting is now open for the four open seats on NASCO's board. Each Active Member and Individual Member will receive a ballot by mail. We encourage you to read the candidate statements here. All of the seats are for three-year terms. 

A meet-the-candidates forum will be held at NASCO Institute on Saturday, November 12, from 2:30-4pm. 

Ballots are due on January 5, 2017. 

There are also several board seats that will be filled at Institute.

NASCO is very excited to announce that we have hired Ratih Sutrisno as our new Director of Community Engagement! Ratih will be starting training this week and will join us full time at NASCO Institute. You can reach Ratih at ratih@nasco.coop.

Hello, NASCO Members! My name is Ratih Sutrisno and I am NASCO’s new Director of Community Engagement. This is a new position at NASCO connecting the organization and its members to social justice and anti-oppression work both inside and outside the cooperative movement. I will be managing public media platforms, coordinating the Alumni Network of former NASCO co-op members, and organizing grassroots funding campaigns to build and maintain relationships with co-op members and movement partners.
 
I am a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management with minors in Interdisciplinary Design and French. For the past year, I have been working as a student advisor at the Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs (HECUA), promoting experiential off-campus and study abroad programs focusing on justice, social change, and imaginative approaches to difficult problems. I have been a member of the Students’ Co-op in Minneapolis for three years.

The Oberlin Student Cooperative Association (OSCA) is hiring a Business Coordinator, based in Oberlin, OH. The Business Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the business operations of the OSCA office and of its membership according to the direction of the OSCA Officers and the Financial Manager, providing business information and assistance to OSCA Student Staff while respecting student leadership and autonomy, and aiding in performing the day-to-day tasks required to keep the OSCA office running smoothly. This position is 35 hours per week, $25 per hour, with a competitive benefits package.
