Brief Description of Organization:
Since 1971, ICC Austin, a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, has been providing affordable housing to students who would not otherwise be able to afford college. Over 6,000 students have come through our doors since we opened our first housing co-op. Beyond having an affordable place to live, students learn to cook together, clean together and participate in a real-life community. Our members often find the skills learned during their tenure at the co-ops form the basis for future personal success and effective citizenship.

Internship Position Title:
Archivist / Administrative Assistant
Internship Position Duties:
Intern will be primarily focusing on scanning historical documents, pictures, and minutes and turning them into electronic format. They will also be participating in the office duties of running the co-op, which is primarily administrative and logistic work.
Position Training:
Intern is expected to work independently with minimal supervision.
Skills Development & Learning:
Intern will be actively involved in day to day operations of managing a mid-sized cooperative system. This position is ideal from a member of a smaller cooperative system that wants to learn best practices and develop a skillset for the administrative side of cooperatives.
This is a part time 24 hours / week position. Your remaining hours will get to spent hanging out in Austin, which is very fun in the summer.
Compensation ($):
$7 (hourly), payable bi-weekly
